POWERTECH STRENGTHENS AND EXTENDS ITS DISTRIBUTION NETWORK ACROSS CANADA BY PARTNERING WITH HEWITT EQUIPMENT AND ATLANTIC TRACTORS & EQUIPMENT

PowerTech is now backed by a solid and recognized construction industry distribution network that will help expand its business development in Canada

Terrebonne (Quebec), April 28, 2008 – Mr. Carol Murray, President and Chief Executive Officer of PowerTech Corporation Inc. “PowerTech” (TSX-V: PWB), is pleased to announce that Hewitt Equipment Ltd. “Hewitt” and Atlantic Tractors & Equipment Ltd. “Atlantic Tractors”, have just joined PowerTech’s network of authorized product distributors.

Hewitt’s distribution network covers the regions of Quebec and Western Labrador through 14 branches. Atlantic Tractors serves the provinces of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick through eight branches.

“We are very happy to add Hewitt and Atlantic Tractors, two new high-quality distributors, to the network of Canadian distributors with whom we have formed alliances in recent years. With these two new alliances, we now fully cover our diverse markets in Canada, which we can serve from one ocean to the other,” said Mr. Murray.

In addition to Hewitt and Atlantic Tractors, PowerTech counts amongst its partners other Caterpillar distributors such as Finning in Western Canada and Toromont in Ontario. “Our network, which is built on some of the largest construction equipment distributors in Canada, now includes more than 90 branches. They are all distributors who enjoy an excellent reputation in the construction industry and have powerful marketing reach throughout the country,” said Mr. Yves Sicotte, PowerTech’s Vice-President, Sales and Marketing.

In the coming quarters, PowerTech should be able to accelerate its business development in Canada thanks to this new distribution network expansion, and also due to its increasingly diversified product line.

“As set out in our business strategy, we now have a distribution network capable of providing effective marketing of all our products under the PowerTech brand name in Canada. Elsewhere in the world, our strategy is to continue forming promising OEM agreements, such as those signed with NPK Construction Equipment (North America) and Montabert (Europe, Middle-East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand), that allow for the quick and wide-scale market introduction of our technology. In recent months, we made major progress in establishing a worldwide marketing network, which should result in steady sales growth in the quarters to come,” said Mr. Murray.
