POWERTECH ANNOUNCES AN OEM AGREEMENT WITH MONTABERT SAS A WORLD LEADER IN THE CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT INDUSTRY

This new agreement provides PowerTech with access to major markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand

Terrebonne (Quebec), April 1, 2008 – Mr. Carol Murray, President and Chief Executive Officer of PowerTech Corporation Inc. “PowerTech” (TSX-V: PWB), is pleased to announce that the Company has signed an OEM distribution agreement with Montabert SAS “Montabert”, a world leader in construction equipment design, production and distribution. Through this agreement, PowerTech’s unique line of PicBucket and PicHammer products, used primarily for excavation, demolition and compaction applications, will be marketed by Montabert, under its globally renowned private brand name and colours. The products will be built by PowerTech incorporating Montabert’s hydraulic cells.

On February 7, 2008, PowerTech first disclosed the signing of this new OEM agreement in a preliminary announcement that did not include Montabert’s name and certain elements of this commercial and manufacturing agreement.

The delivery of the Montabert Private Branded product will begin gradually in the coming quarters and will gain momentum during the Company’s next fiscal year. This new agreement provides PowerTech with access to major markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

This is the second major OEM agreement for PowerTech. “We are extremely proud to partner with Montabert – a world-class company with an 80-year history, an ultra-modern manufacturing facility and an extensive distribution network made up of more than 200 distributors around the world. PowerTech’s technology brings added value to Montabert’s range of products. By using this technology, construction entrepreneurs will be able to carry out their excavation, demolition and compacting work more quickly and easily, which will result in major cost and time savings.
