POWERTECH ENTERS EUROPEAN MARKET WITH NEW DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT AND FIRST OVERSEAS SALE

Like the United States, Europe’s construction industry is a promising market for the Company with high commercial potential

Terrebonne (Quebec), March 21, 2007 – PowerTech Corporation Inc., “PowerTech” (TSX-V: PWB) is entering the European market via a new distribution agreement with French company Bergerat Monnoyeur, which is a Caterpillar dealer in France, Belgium, Romania and Poland. In addition, PowerTech is pleased to announce its first sale of a PicBucket in Europe to Swedish company Degeberga Grus & Schakt (DGS).

“Our agreement with Bergerat Monnoyeur and this first sale have powerfully announced our arrival in Europe. Our European strategy is similar to that pursued in the United States, which centres on creating partnerships with companies that are renowned and well established in their target markets. In this regard, we will focus on forming agreements with heavy equipment dealers that have extensive sales networks, as is the case of Bergerat Monnoyeur. In addition, we intend to continue forming new agreements with original equipment manufacturers (OEM agreements), such as the one recently concluded with NPK Construction Equipment for the North American and Latin American markets. The applications and benefits of PowerTech’s technology know no boundaries,” remarked Mr. Carol Murray, PowerTech’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

The PicBucket and PicHammer: major advantages

Bergerat Monnoyeur has been a Caterpillar product dealer for more than 100 years. The company has close to 50 branches across nine regions of France. “The innovative nature of PowerTech’s technology quickly attracted our attention. We will now be able to offer our clients a unique, distinctive and high value-added solution for their excavation and demolition work needs. To begin with, we will target the most promising markets in France to enable PowerTech’s products to rapidly gain recognition in the industry,” said Ms. Laëtitia Deboves, Marketing Director for Bergerat Monnoyeur.

Furthermore, the PicBucket sale to DGS follows a mandate that this company carried out for a large European equipment manufacturer. DGS regularly conducts tests and evaluations on equipment for this manufacturer. After conducting trials this winter on PowerTech’s products, DGS immediately decided to purchase its first PicBucket. “In Sweden, to do excavation work during the winter, we must install tents equipped with enormous heaters to warm up the soil before digging. The PicBucket, however, will allow us to excavate during the winter without installing these systems, which is a huge advantage that will deliver significant time savings. I have never seen a bucket work this way. It is definitely the most effective excavation equipment that I have used in my entire career,” said Bertil Anderson, owner of DGS, an entrepreneur specialized in tunneling for public utility companies.

He travels the world to stay at the leading edge of the new technologies available in the construction industry. Europe: a promising market for PowerTech

PowerTech is already knowledgeable about the industrial infrastructure of its European target markets. Like in North America, the European hydraulic hammer market is mature and characterized by commodity and replacement products. This market has had no major innovations for several years.
